Winter Wonders

Boston bound...

I recently sent new botanical work to the Chase Young Gallery for their Winter Group Show that opened on December 4th.  Among the new works displayed are a few of these abstracted florals.

From the Chase Young Gallery Blog....

Chase Young Gallery is pleased to present a group exhibition of new work by ten artists.  Hailing from all over the globe, these artists bring their own sensibility and fresh artistic vision.
From the vibrant, painterly abstractions of Bernd Haussmann to the furiously worked figures and flowers of Cynthia Packard, this show combines the highly patterned geometry of Nina Tichava with the delicate poetry of artists Tom Chambers, Katina Huston and Alicia Tormey. Objects come alive in the luminous still lifes of Micheal Zigmond and the moody interiors of Treacy Zeigler. In her small, expressive mixed media works, artist Kathryn Frund explores concepts of balance and composition. While each artist approaches the work with a unique process and goal, the works in December’s exhibition share a vigor of investigation and a luminous personal vision.
